Backend Developer (API/Database)

Build robust REST and GraphQL APIs, design database schemas, and ensure data security and performance.

What you will do

  • Build REST/GraphQL APIs with Node.js or similar
  • Design and optimize database schemas with PostgreSQL/Supabase
  • Implement authentication and authorization systems
  • Ensure data security and compliance (CCPA, SOC 2)
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Document APIs and technical specifications

What you bring

  • 4+ years backend development experience
  • Strong SQL and database design skills
  • Experience with Node.js, Python, or similar
  • Knowledge of REST and GraphQL API design
  • Understanding of security best practices

Helpful, but not required

  • Experience with Supabase
  • Knowledge of Redis or caching strategies
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization
  • Experience with serverless architectures
